LAUREN SCOTT - OWNER

Coach Lauren’s gymnastics journey began at age three, when she was more likely to be found swinging from railings and climbing everything in sight than standing still. Once she entered a formal gymnastics program, that natural curiosity and energy turned into a passion. She went on to compete through Level 10, qualifying for both State and Regional competitions.

Lauren later became a member of the NC State gymnastics team, where her love for the sport continued to grow. While earning her degree in Business, she discovered something just as important to her as gymnastics: a deep love for teaching and connecting with children. That realization led her to pursue a Master’s in Education from the University of Southern California.

For six years, Lauren taught 1st–4th grade right down the road at Mary Scroggs Elementary School, where she learned firsthand how powerful encouragement, structure, and positivity can be in a child’s life.

Her combined passion for gymnastics and education ultimately inspired her to open The Kid’s Gym—a recreational gymnastics space built on fun, confidence, and purposeful movement. Today, The Kid’s Gym is a place where children develop coordination, resilience, and a strong belief in themselves, all in a supportive, pressure-free environment.

Lauren lives in Briar Chapel with her husband, Chris, their kids Jace and Zoeigh, and their two giant fur babies, Kingston and Hank.
